There are many things racing through my mind, many opinions and shit that I must get off my chest, so here's your pass into my thoughts and musings. Enjoy.
A Mixed Bag: I wear my emotions on my sleeve: When I'm happy, I'm happy, when I'm low, I'm low....you get the picture. There are days which I feel invincible from all of the pressures of high school, and there are days where I can't stand to be around all of these people and I want to curl up and escape. God, it sucks.
Which Leads Me To My Next Secret Bitch: The Ranch Review. I love my position as Opinion Editor and I love writing for the paper, but there are days where I feel isolated, totally unwanted, and bluntly, like total shit in that class. Yes, I had my issues last year battling depression and my own personal doubts, but then, I was able to reach out to Kiilah, mostly because she could relate to what I was going through. Now she's graduated, and I feel like i'm going through this alone. I guess this is growing up?
So, I'm A Bit of an Anime Geek: This dates back to when I was ten to eleven and Toonami was the shit to watch on Cartoon Network. The anime show that had me hoked was called Tenchi Muyo! Here's some info on the show, if you have no idea what the hell I'm blabbering about.Basically, it's about this teenage boy living in rural Japan, living an average life, with six beautiful women from outer space under one, and they all have the hots for him. Its a funny show, and here's the promo for the show when it aired on Toonami.
Thanks to the power of You Tube, I can watch all these kick-ass episodes and relive a part of my boyhood.
So, yeah, I'm kind of an anime geek.
Sue me.
The Problem with Hillary Clinton: Don't get me wrong, I respect Hillary. She'd made a great president, but she comes off as power hungry and calculating. I especially was displeased when she ran that 3 a.m. phone call/scaremongering ad, mostly because it's the kind of attack I would fully expect the Republican Party would engage themselves in, but not from a Democrat. Plus, it this is the kind of dirty attack ads that Americans are sick of seeing after watching our own government scare its citizens into backing a war of choice, elect an incompetent president to a second term in office, and turn our fellow citizens against one another through false patriotism. To me, her ad reminded me of everything this country has gone through under the seven years of the Bush Administration, and what we need to never do again.
Going Back To Tenchi Muyo For a Minute: I just happened to stumble across the anime fan site where you get to write your own stories about your favorite anime shows. It's called Fan Fiction.net, and it's pretty cool. There's a section for fans of the Tenchi Muyo! series and some of the stories they've written are just amazingly good. Here are a few of my favorites: Hiatus, Helmet (sequel to Hiatus) and The Journal of Pain.
